Sleep Country, Canada’s top sleep specialty retailer with over 265 stores, aimed to expand its business online. They prioritized implementing e-commerce operations and maintaining excellent customer service. To achieve this, they sought a logistics solution to streamline online orders and manage fulfillment seamlessly.
Strategies Employed
Sleep Country collaborated with 2Ship, a SaaS-based logistics solution, to optimize their online operations. Centralized carriers in one user interface to make the best shipping decision throughout the day. Also, through seamless integration, 2Ship facilitated automatic updating of order statuses, inventory levels, and internal records, while also providing centralized communication of shipment details to customers.

The approval workload for Shawn, our National Operations eCommerce Lead, who previously fielded bricks of invoices, now receives 10-12 approval emails weekly.
Financially, the benefits are substantial. With an annual shipping spend of $2.5-3 million, 2Ship has saved us $200-300k annually. Moreover, the time saved through automation is staggering, with a remarkable 95% reduction in time spent on shipping-related tasks because of automation throughout our 18 distribution centers using 2Ship.
Amidst the challenges of COVID-19, 2Ship proved invaluable. Despite a 36-46 times increase in shipping pricing, we minimized the shipping cost increases, and our business thrived, soaring from $4 million to $48 million in sales during the pandemic. Not only did 2Ship help us save money, but it also provided us with greater control over our spending.
